The google assistant feature is only available on select phones, including google's own nexus/pixel line and some newer samsung devices starting with the s7. i think a few more phones also have it but it's certainly not universal across all android 7.x devices.. Google assistant is one of the newer ais available, and is available out-of-the-box with your nougat-powered keyone. it's definitely a convenient little helper.. "okay google, set a time for 12 minutes." etc. etc. trying to use the google assistant for sending texts or emails on the phone are just as painful as any other voice-operated computer system, which is to say basically useless..
